Quick range review on the new Beretta 92X RDO”
At the range today trying out my latest item to my collection the Beretta 92X RDO this is the newest Beretta, this one comes optics ready. No plates come with the gun, you simply purchase it then choose which optic you wish to install on it. Then you select the free optic mounting plate on Beretta website. You’ll also get this information in the box.
This firearms comes with 2 Mags, extra Grips for the big hand people, hardcase and a lock.
350 rounds fired today using 124gr off brand ammo , 115gr Federal FMJ ammo, 115gr blazer aluminum case, federal 147grain, sig hollow points and steel case no issues, every round went pew pew like it should.
I noticed this particular firearm has a 12 o’clock hold, vs my Beretta M9 was dead center hold, so once learned where to aim it was dead on, easily hit steel at Castlewood Rod and gun club up to 40 yards.
The grips on the Beretta 92X RDO is a lot like Talon Grips, so the gun will not move in your hand it stays, but it’s not too aggressive, I found rapid firing much easier to control compared to the black plastic grips on the original M9.
The new short reset trigger is also very nice, definitely the best trigger on the Beretta defensive line of guns.(I would compete with this in USPSA optics division it’s that nice of a trigger)
The 92X RDO’s universal slide design has the Vertec configuration dovetail sights and an easily replaceable control lever that allows you to convert from safety-decocker (F) to decocker-only (G) and back again.
The best thing is, it has a 3 slot picatinny rail to run a weapon light, as this will be a home defense weapon for me and I feel all home defense guns should have lights on them, yes you can EDC this but for me this will become my new home defense gun/shop carry gun.
For those who only like to buy American products this is made in the USA 🇺🇸
Great gun, fun to shoot, and no issues.. if you are a Beretta fan looking to run optics I would encourage you to stop in and check it out.
