Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 is built around a 2.75-inch stainless steel barrel with Armornite finish, paired with a stainless steel slide in matching Armornite for a corrosion-resistant, durable exterior suited to the moisture and sweat exposure common to concealed carry. The Viridian RFX1 Green Dot reflex sight is the only optic designed specifically for the Bodyguard 2.0, installing directly to the slide without plates or modifications to maintain the pistol’s slim carry profile. The RFX1 features a sharp 3 MOA green dot, fully multi-coated glass, an auto-brightness sensor that adapts instantly to ambient lighting, and Viridian’s INSTANT-ON technology that activates the moment the pistol moves from its holster.
The flat-face striker-fired trigger delivers a clean take-up, crisp break, and short reset for improved accuracy and faster follow-up shots in a micro-compact format where recoil management and trigger control are critical. An aggressive slide design increases serration coverage for a positive grip during press checks and administrative handling in any conditions, and the ergonomic profile provides a better fit and improved control over earlier Bodyguard generations. A manual thumb safety adds an active safety layer for carry configurations where an additional safety margin is preferred.
