The SUB2000 CQB is introduced in a refreshed configuration featuring KelTec’s integrally suppressed barrel, engineered as a complete system for improved balance, sound mitigation, and reliability. This updated model incorporates the SUB2000 GEN3 rotating forend and now utilizes the standard GLK19 grip configuration, while shipping with a Magpul® GLK17 magazine paired with a KelTec magazine sleeve for optimal fit and function.

Although the SUB2000 CQB Defender remains an NFA-regulated firearm, the $200 federal tax stamp is no longer required, reducing the overall cost of ownership for this one-of-a-kind folding carbine. This milestone makes the refreshed SUB2000 CQB a fitting way to kick off KelTec’s 35th Anniversary in 2026.

The integrally suppressed barrel is engineered as a unified system to provide effective sound mitigation while maintaining reliable cycling and balance. A rotating forend from the SUB2000 GEN3 platform allows the rifle to remain optics ready while preserving the folding capability the SUB2000 is known for. The CQB configuration ships with a Magpul Glock 17 magazine and includes a Kel-Tec magazine sleeve to ensure proper fit and function with the Glock 19 grip geometry.

Polymer construction keeps overall weight manageable while maintaining durability for range, training, or defensive use. The optics-ready design allows easy mounting of red dots or compact optics without interfering with operation. Chambered in 9mm, the SUB2000 CQB offers controllable recoil and ammunition compatibility across a wide range of use cases.
