Description
The new SCAR 17S is built around a short-stroke gas piston system with a two-position adjustable gas regulator for improved reliability and suppressor optimization. A hydraulically buffered two-piece bolt carrier reduces felt recoil and promotes faster follow-up shots, contributing to smoother operation. The threaded 5/8×24 barrel profile supports compatibility with forward-venting suppressors such as the FN QD762.
An extended hard-anodized aluminum receiver integrates a continuous M1913 Picatinny top rail and M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions for expanded accessory mounting. A telescoping side-folding polymer stock with adjustable cheekpiece enhances shooter fit, while true AR pistol grip compatibility allows further customization. Ambidextrous controls include an oversized bolt catch and release, elongated magazine release, two-position ambi safety, and a user-configurable non-reciprocating charging handle.
